Most of the value is in seeing where the technology applies. People describe a problem - missed calls, incomplete documents, data copied between systems - and I can usually see how to solve it in ways they haven't considered. I carry a deep toolkit and the interesting part is matching it to someone's specific situation.
I work across the full build. Understanding the problem, designing the solution, running a proof of concept, then scaling it into something that runs in production. The best projects start small and turn into something with real impact.
